Volunteers are needed for "All Systems Go!" Day. If you love kids, you love helping kids learn, and you want to have some fun, we need you!
What is it? The LCSC faculty offer fun, hands-on science and math activities and a chemistry magic show for the Lewiston 3rd graders each year. Approximately 350 3rd graders will descend upon our campus and rotate through different stations to learn about science and math in a relaxed, friendly environment. We can't do this without a lot of volunteers, so we need your help with the stations, setting up, and cleaning up. You do not need to have a background in science, but you should enjoy working with children.
When is it? Volunteers are needed on Thursday, November 15, from 8:30 AM until 12:00 PM to help set up. "All Systems Go!" Day is on Friday, November 16, for either a half-day or a full day and clean-up. If you would like to volunteer, you can sign up for a half-day (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM) OR a full day (8:30 AM to 3:30 PM). If you volunteer for the full day, you will be provided with lunch. *Note that this is the Friday before Thanksgiving break begins.
