Automated Manufacturing

Advanced Opportunities is a national and state effort emphazing collaboration between technical colleges and regional high schools. Students have the opportunity to earn college credit and gain a high level of technical career skills needed for an easy transition into a technical education program then onto a high wage, high demand career! 

 How do we help you? We help you channel what you have learned in your high school CTE classes into an appropriate technical college program. We work with all state technical colleges to ensure the best opportunities are available to all students in Region II.

Who Qualifies for Advanced Opportunities?

  • High School Students that are at least 16 years of age by the primary registration deadline of LCSC's term 
  • Students that have completed one-half of their high school graduation requirements
  • Students that are not yet 16 years of age must obtain high school instructor signature in order to participate

What do Technical Competency Credits cost?

Advanced Opportunities offers Technical Competency Credits to students at $10 per credit. These are LOW COST credits that can be earned while still in high school!

For the 2017-2018 school year this is a cost savings to students of $303 per credit.

How do you apply?

If Technical Competency Credits are offered at your school, you will be able to request credit once you have enrolled at LCSC (or transcibing Idaho technical institution and pay the $10 per credit fee. Talk to your teacher or your Region II Transition Coordinator on how the process works. office to transcribe your Technical Competency Credits.
